Students are no longer content with leaving College with an academic certificate only; they now seek to add on to their Curriculum Vitae (CV) as part of their college experience, another aspect aside from academia. Generally, while the work of the institution is to take care of the curricula and academic matters, it is up to the student to personalize their college experience.
ICS College offers students multiple ways to get engaged in the community. Our CSR program is thriving because we strongly believe in giving back to the community; we engage in volunteer work and also urge our students to be part of it. We have set a program on visiting children’s homes, cleaning the environment, planting trees among others.
Aside from encouraging our students to engage in volunteerism, we also offer opportunities to anyone at home and abroad who is interested to come and volunteer at our institution. This gives them work experience, skills that most employers nowadays seek before they give you a chance at employment.
Most organizations require a little work experience. You as a fresh graduate have none and are left at a crossroad on what to do. The simplest and smartest move on how to build your work portfolio is to volunteer. We urge everyone to embrace this mentality.
ICS College believes that the heart of a volunteer is never measured in size, but by the depth of commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.
