Mombasa Branch
Opened its doors on the month of May 2017 at the prime hub, Mombasa Branch Posta Pension Towers (Huduma Centre Building), Next to Bima House along Digo Road. As a college within a wider network of East Africa Institute of Certified studies, we are a dynamic, fast growing institution that recognizes our strategic location in the coastal region of Kenya. Since then, our growth has been tremendous.
Students at Mombasa branch are afforded high-quality education, with state of the art equipment, quality learning resources with a strong base and roots in making a difference in our community, nurturing talent and offering better opportunities to our students. We are fully accredited to offer a variety of courses from School of Hospitality & Languages, School of ICT & Engineering, School of Business, School of Social Sciences, School of Beauty & Fashion Design and The School of Media studies.
Opening the academic calendar, Mombasa campus held its first sports day on the 26th of May 2017. The event featured indoor and outdoor games, such as rope skipping, running, swimming, football, handball, hula hooping among others. The event was a major success with full participation from the students. A sense of ownership and belonging was apparent from the student feedback about the sports day. With the diversity in the campus, the day enhanced social, religious and cultural interaction amongst the students.
The month of November is well known as Exams month, and at Mombasa campus, our students sat for two External Examinations, that is KNEC and JP-UK. In total, we have five external exams that are, ABMA, JP-UK, ICM, KASNEB, and KNEC.
Yes, there is a lot to cover in the curriculum, but education does not begin and end with a textbook or test but it is a balance of curricular and co-curricular. On 2nd February 2018, we took all our students to Nyali Beach for a fun day of Team Building with activities such as workouts, tug of war, rope skipping, athletics, swimming, photo shoots, volleyball, handball, and football.
April was a very busy month full of activities. First, was giving back to the community which was organized by students Religion Leaders together with their patrons. The CSR outreach took place on the 7th of April 2018. Second, the School of Beauty team building to Ukunda, and Christian Unions Leaders with their members and patrons invitation for a praise and worship fellowship by Aviation College. Lastly, a friendly Match between our football team and Kenya National Coast Polytechnic also took place on Friday 27th April 2018.
Mombasa Campus Branch is the only branch that is open 7 days a week. This gives our part-time students an opportunity to attend classes.
