Teachers naturally assess whether or not their students have understood or mastered a concept or skill before moving on.
This non-graded formative assessment is also valuable for students for several reasons. It clarifies what content or skills the teacher thinks are important, shows students the relevance of classroom activities and help students realize where they are in relation to where they should be in terms of skills and abilities.
That’s why at ICS Eldoret campus we focus on testing students every end month to assess their abilities and range of understanding so as enable us improve their knowledge individually and collectively.
